Falchion with leather sheath SK-B

The falchion, also known as a malchus , is a single-edged slashing weapon that was mainly used as a secondary weapon by archers, pikemen and other foot troops in the late Middle Ages.

Ulfberth-Schmiede offers a replica that is suitable for use in battle and offers excellent value for money. The falchion has a forged blade made of spring steel 55Si7 (EN45), oil-hardened to approx. 48-50 HRC, forged through to the handle and riveted at the pommel end. The wooden handle is wrapped in leather. The beautifully shaped crossguard is hand-forged from steel.
The blade edge is blunt and slightly rounded. The tip of the sword has also been rounded in accordance with the rules of show fighting.

The falchion is made exclusively by hand. It comes with a matching leather sheath.
