A sword of this type was the noble weapon of the Gallic warriors of the late Latène period,
i.e. in the last years before the Roman occupation of Gaul.
In the middle of the first century BC, the Gauls defied Caesar's legions with these swords.
The sword can be worn on the belt in a long metal scabbard.
The handle is made of wood and the crossguard has a shape typical of the period.
