Diechlings are padded leg protectors for the thighs in the
style of a gambeson. They reach just below the knee.
Diechlings were very popular with foot soldiers.
They are sold as a pair.
These leg guards are made from a total of three layers:
- 100% cotton canvas on the outside
- a layer of padding material made from 72.9% wool,
19.3% polyester, 7.8% other fibres sewn into the middle
- natural-coloured cotton on the inside
