Viking sword with scabbard, 10th century, regular version

Very nice reconstruction of a Viking sword from the 10th century, based on finds from England.
As early as the 8th century, isolated Vikings raided the British coasts in search of quick prey. From the 9th century, however, this tactic changed and the Scandinavians began to take land in England and settle down.

This sword is made entirely by hand. The crossguard and the typical pommel with five ridges are made of steel. The blade is continuous up to the pommel, where it is hand-riveted. The handle is wrapped in leather. The blade has a pronounced fuller, which gives the sword great elasticity and lightness at the same time. The blade edge is not sharpened.
The sword comes with a very beautiful wooden-leather scabbard with a wooden bow as a belt loop (for belts up to 5 cm wide).
The scabbard has a richly decorated brass inlay.
