Medieval pommel daggers were mostly used by knights, unhorsed mercenaries and archers as a secondary weapon. The pommel of this dagger is adorned on both sides with the cross, the sign of the crusaders.
The blade of our replica is forged from spring steel and goes through to the pommel, where it is invisibly screwed together. The handle is wrapped in leather and braided wire. The dagger has a solid crossguard and a round pommel made of forgeable cast iron. The blade is oil-hardened to approx. 48 HRC. The dagger has a deep, rather long fuller. The point is rounded and the edges are blunt. The dagger is therefore suitable for light exhibition fighting.
A matching, leather-covered wooden scabbard with a metal plate is included.
