Mjölnir from Läby

This striking iron Thor's hammer is hand-forged from a Viking Age original.

The model for this expressively shaped Thor's hammer is a Viking Age find from Läby in the Swedish province of Uppland near the Viking royal seat of Uppsala, which dates back to the 10th century.

The original Thor's hammer from Läby was made of bronze and not iron, although iron Thor's hammers were also used in the Viking Age.

The powerfully shaped Mjölnir of Läby measures 3.5 x 3 x 1 cm and can be worn around the neck as a pendant or amulet with the enclosed leather strap or chain.
