The model for the one-handed sword offered here was an original piece from the 12th century, which is now in the collection of the St. Annen Museum in Lübeck.

The one-handed, double-edged knight's sword, classified as Oakeshott type XII, has the typical characteristics of high medieval swords. It has a broad, evenly tapered EN45 spring steel blade with a fuller along about two thirds of its length. The edges are not sharpened and the continuous tang is riveted to the pommel. The hilt consists of a steel crossguard, a grip with a wooden core and leather wrapping, and a bronze disk pommel topped with a steel rivet block.

This decorative, inexpensive one-handed sword is supplied with a light brown wood/leather sheath that matches the color of the handle wrapping.

Please note that this medieval sword is not suitable for show combat, but is designed as a collector's item or decorative object. It is also ideal as a prop, e.g. to complete your costume, and will make your transformation into a noble knight simply perfect.
