This Irish-Gaelic one-handed sword has a hardened, lightweight blade made of carbon steel as well as blunt, thicker edges and a rounded tip.
The ring pommel, typical and characteristic of medieval Irish swords, and the wing-like parrying element with its inlaid quatrefoil patterns are made of steel, the pommel is riveted to the blade.
The wooden handle is wrapped in leather. The scabbard included in the scope of delivery is also made of leather-wrapped wood.
This sword is perfect for light show combat, re-enactment and decorative purposes.

- Das Einhandschwert ist optisch sehr schön. Man sieht zwar noch teil die Spuren des Schmiedehammers, aber das stört mich nicht, da ich ja kein Zeremonienschwert wollte, sondern eins für den Schaukampf. Was mir nicht ganz so gut gefällt ist, dass es nicht so gut ausbalanciert ist. Ich habe "Vergleichsschwerter" zuhause (und auch von Ritterkollegen), welche besser in der Hand liegen. Für den Schaukampf kein Problem, für richtige Turniere dann wohl nicht die beste Wahl. Alles in allem dennoch 4 Sterne, denn der Preis ist ja wohl für ein Sk-B Schwert richtig gut.
