Turtle brooch Saltvik

The shell brooches, also known as turtle brooches or hump brooches, were part of the Viking women's jewelry. They were worn in pairs to fasten the dress and apron to the shoulders.
This beautiful brooch is based on a historical model. It was reproduced from a find in Saltvik on Åland in Finland. On the back of the oval garment clasp there is a sturdy pin and an eyelet for attaching it to clothing.
