Greased leather is very soft and flexible, so that the leather armour remains extremely comfortable even after prolonged wear, e.g. at a medieval market. There are 3 leather straps with buckles on each side, which allow for individual adjustment and ensure a secure, snug fit. The leather breastplate also has riveted leather straps on the shoulders, which make it easy to attach shoulder plates.
