Medieval women's shoes made from waxed nubuck leather.
The shoe is equipped with a leather sole. The leather sole is ideally worn in to prevent slipping on smooth ground. When first worn, the sole is quite slippery due to the smooth leather, but the friction caused by walking makes the sole rougher and gradually more slip-resistant. Tip: the soles can be rubbed against stone to prevent slipping on slippery ground in the early days. Please note: this should of course not be done when trying on the shoes, otherwise they will no longer be in their original condition and therefore cannot be returned.
The leather strap is 1.5 cm wide and is pulled through the bronze-colored buckle.
Thanks to the waxed layer, the typical patina of oiled leather is formed. When the shoes are worn, the leather expands slightly and adapts naturally to the shape of the foot. During use, brightening occurs at the stretching, scratching and creasing points. This effect is characteristic of the type of leather used (and intentional) and gives the women's shoe a particularly rustic touch.
The leather sole has a thickness of approx. 5 mm with an additional heel of approx. 5 mm (= total thickness of the heel 10 mm)
Care instructions:
To smooth out scratches, it is usually sufficient to rub the leather with a dry or slightly damp cloth. This rubs away the layer of grease. The leather goes well with colorless leather grease and can be rubbed in with a soft cloth for larger color stains. The additional leather grease darkens the leather slightly and makes it particularly supple. Please always try out shoes on carpeting! This will prevent signs of wear on the sole.
