Bone needles like these were found in Haithabu. Dragon head decorations were very common throughout the Viking Age between 800 and 1100 AD. The hairpin is made of bone, hand-carved and finely polished. Similar to a brooch, it can be used to fasten cloaks and garments. It is not only a great accessory for LARPs and historical events for anyone who likes Nordic jewelry.
