Rillet Rapier LARP

The Rillet Rapier from Epic Armoury is part of the Vanguard line and takes its design cues from the rapiers of the Renaissance.
While most rapiers had a thin blade, this one is designed more like the rapiers traditionally used for battles and warfare than the ornamental blades of the courts of Europe.
The weapon guard is designed to protect the top of the hand (like a normal crossguard) as well as the fingers, as would be the case with a normal basket hilt.
The handle is grooved to improve the wearer's grip, while the mold (or rain guard) is placed inside the crossguard and features engravings that look like creeping vines.
Likewise, the pommel features matching engravings around the globe to match the edge. The blade is made of closed-cell polyurethane foam and is colored to look as lifelike as possible.
Unlike most LARP weapons, the Vanguard range requires virtually no maintenance other than checking for wear in the form of cuts or breaks.
