This classic rivited plate helmet is based on a historical model and has its origins in Northern Europe in the early Middle Ages.
It was once worn by nomadic peoples in late antiquity. It is therefore also ideal for depicting Nordic characters.
The helmet gets its name from the fact that it brings together several clasps and combines metal sheets in them.
Material: sheet steel
Size: for head size 56-58
The rivited plate helmet is one of the most widespread types of head protection from Late Antiquity and the Early Middle Ages.
It was quite easy to manufacture and could be produced in large numbers without great effort.
This made it a top seller among a large number of warlike peoples.
A typical feature of the rivited plate helmet is the headband to which the skull parts are attached. This headband was often additionally decorated or reinforced.
Brows or ornamentation can be seen on finds on the ground. The conical shape of the helmet was then achieved by riveting the helmet plates.
A chain mail brim was often attached to the back of the helmet. An equally simple and ingenious solution for head protection.
