Barbuta Manolo

The barbuta is considered the Italian version of the pelvic cap and was a popular helmet shape, especially in the 14th and 15th centuries.
In the 15th century, it developed into helmet shapes such as the Schaller or the French armet.
The "Manolo" barbuta protects the skull and the entire neck and leaves the wearer's eyes and mouth free to see and breathe.
The helmet is lined with foam and has a leather chin strap.
