A Drinking Horn with a pewter mouth rim. Drinking Horn has the size of approx. 0.3 or 0.5 liters. It is treated according to the food law and can be used without hesitation. A rim made of solid pewter has been applied by hand for drinking. The rim surrounds the upper edge of the horn on both sides by about 18 mm.

Our Drinking Horns and Calling Horns come mainly from cattle from Nigeria and India. The African horns come from Watussi cattle, among others, are large and have different colors and grains, while the Indian horns are smaller and less colorful. The horns are by-products of meat and leather production.
The horns are exported hollowed out to Germany. Here they are cleaned in an experienced German family business, sanded and polished on the outside and coated (only on the inside) with a food-safe varnish. This means that they comply with all food safety regulations and can be used without hesitation. Their safety has been tested, confirmed and certified by the German test laboratory.
As Drinking Horns are natural products, no two horns are the same. Differences in shape and color are unavoidable and make each horn unique.
The sizes are not exact but approximate.

To care for the horns: Please do not put them in the dishwasher, but rinse them with warm (not boiling hot) water immediately after use. Do not fill with acidic drinks (e.g. lemon juice).

Eigentlich braucht man dazu nicht viel sagen. Es ist halt aus Horn. Wenn sich einer ein Trinkhorn kaufen will, dann empfehle ich einfach das hier. Der Zinnrand fühlt sich besser an den Lippen an. Dazu kommt das es hier einen guten Preis hat und auch wenn man es sich per Post bestellt sie einem ein schönes zusenden. Danke
