Viking brooch, hand-forged.
A beautiful and useful accessory for cloaks and other items of clothing.
Brooches replaced the simple garment pins used to hold clothing together in the Neolithic and Bronze Age. Fibulae as clothing fasteners were in turn replaced by buttons in the Middle Ages.
Diameter approx. 6 cm, made of hand-forged iron.
