Reproduction of a hand-forged medieval hanging pan made of iron, ideal for any camp, be it LARP, re-enactment or rustic outdoor event.
It can be attached to any tripod with its hook, but as it is flat, it can also be placed on a ladle or directly on stones in the fire.
The pan is made of stainless steel. It is lightly oiled to protect it from corrosion.
Please note the following care instructions:
Before using this iron pan for the first time, it must first be properly seared. To do this, it is important that it is first thoroughly cleaned with hot water, a brush or sponge and washing-up liquid and then dried. Then pour enough high-heat cooking oil into the pan - you can also use lard - until the base is completely and well covered. The oil is then heated to a high temperature. Then add raw potato skins or slices to the pan with a teaspoon of salt and fry until the bottom of the pan turns dark and the potato pieces have turned a dark brown color after being turned several times. The emptied, cooled pan is then simply rubbed out with a piece of kitchen roll.
Iron pans should not come into contact with washing-up liquid after initial cleaning and treatment. Cleaning in the dishwasher is also taboo. After use, the iron pan should only be cleaned with household paper and, if necessary, hot water. The pan should then be lightly greased again.
