Mjölnir (the Malmer) is the symbol of Thor, the god of thunder (Donar in German).
At times, Thor was considered the supreme god of the Germanic tribes, especially among the simple free farmers and warriors, while the Scandinavian jarl and kings tended to regard Odin (Wodan or Wotan in German) as the supreme deity.
According to mythology, the dwarf Brokk forged the Mjölnir. It could be thrown without ever missing the target.
Thor used the hammer to fight successfully against the giants who constantly threatened the gods of the Wanen and Asen.
Today, the Thor's hammer is used as jewelry and a talisman, but above all it is an expression of paganism and atheism in a Christian environment.
The Thor's hammer is hand-forged.
