Needle boxes like this one were already in use in Roman times. They were used to keep expensive needles made of bone, iron and bronze safe and protected. Needle boxes like this one were popular from antiquity to the Middle Ages and are often found in archaeological finds.
The opening has a diameter of 1 cm.
Suitable for needles up to 10 cm long.
