Gugel Cucullus red

The Gugel has been a popular garment since the High Middle Ages and made its way into the fashion of the nobility in the 14th century.
It was often decorated, was often worn in bright colors and in the late 14th century, when its use was again limited to the common people, it was used in alternative ways of wearing.
Another characteristic feature of the High Middle Ages gugel is the bandage, which initially hung down the back and was later worn wrapped around the neck.
