The cut is based on archaeological finds made in Skjoldehamn and Kragelund, which date back to the High Middle Ages.
Detachable sleeves were popular in the Middle Ages as they could be washed separately and allowed for greater variation in the tunic.
However, they belong to the late Middle Ages.
