A slashed two-tone doublet in the style of the Landsknechte. It is largely unclear where this fad originated. It is assumed that lansquenets in the late 15th century slashed their tight clothing because it hindered them in battle. This gave rise to the typical fashion for which the legendary mercenaries became known.
The doublet is elaborately designed and made of robust, high-quality cotton. Its generous cut allows plenty of freedom of movement in battle. On colder days, the wide neckline can be closed with five antique brass-look buttons. Cotton lacing provides the typical puffy sleeves of Landsknecht fashion.
This garment can be used not only to portray these famous Landsknechts, but also for courtly roles or as a merchant or pirate.
Material: 100% cotton
