An underskirt was a common component of medieval garments for the maiden, giving the outer garment volume and thus a more beautiful silhouette.
Underskirts provided warmth and were therefore often worn in several layers on top of each other.

To determine your dress size based on your body measurements, please measure horizontally at the widest point.
For skirts, please use your hip measurement as a guide.
If you are between two sizes, we recommend that you choose the larger size.
Comfort allowances are included in the pattern.

The underskirt is made of fine cotton fabric and has an attached ruffle at the bottom of the skirt.
This is finished with tucks and gives the hem of the outer garment more volume.
The waistband is made with a wide elastic band and ensures a good fit.
