Waistband shoes were already known to the Romans and were common footwear for many centuries.
Today, they are not only worn at medieval festivals, but are also very popular as slippers.
Bund shoes are made from a single piece of cowhide that is tied together at the top with a leather strap. The Bundschuh does not have an additional sole.
(For those who want something more robust: we also have Bund shoes with a solid sole)
Our Bund shoes are made from wonderfully soft leather.
The colors may differ slightly from the picture - depending on the availability of the leather.
If you are between two shoe sizes, we recommend choosing the larger one.
If you wear thicker woollen socks, you should order one size larger.
