Christian Henry Tobler deserves credit for breathing new life into the more than 600-year-old fencing art of Master Liechtenauer. Based on the works of Liechtenauer and his successors, Tobler has developed an introductory, modern training program for historical sword fighting. In 15 chapters and with almost 500 photos, the author illustrates the basic positions, blows, terms, tactics and techniques of sword fighting without armor, with spear and in armor.
