Each crossword fan knows this word: Mead. The wine made from honey is not only the oldest alcoholic beverage in our country, but probably worldwide. It was the Germans who kept the art of making mead alive, which, according to historians, they were doing as much as 3,000 years ago. They enjoyed it as a recreational drink at cult feasts, and since the effect of alcohol were still not understood, many myths and legends sprang up about the strange brew. Our forefathers ascribed the change of the senses to a secret magician, and mead soon became a gift of the gods.

Today, mead is undergoing a renaissance. It is a delicacy enjoyed both hot and cold. Treat yourself to a real taste sensation, or give it as a present to friends and loved ones, or as something special to your customers. Mead and most wines are also a noble alternative to conventional mulled wine.
