Hand-forged pine chip holder/candle holder

Hand-forged pine chip holder with feet.

Pine chips were the preferred lighting material from the Stone Age right through to the 20th century. The pine chip holder is combined with a candle holder. The chip is simply clamped into the mouth of the tongs. Depending on the angle of inclination, it burns brighter and faster or less brightly, but longer.
