The pre-treated surface (seasoned finish) makes initial seasoning unnecessary and the robust Dutch oven can be used immediately. It can be used outdoors on an open fire or with charcoal. The raised edge of the lid makes it possible to place embers or charcoal on the Dutch oven. This means that the Dutch oven is heated from all sides and is also suitable for baking bread, for example.

A robust handle allows the Dutch Oven to be lifted safely, three feet give the Dutch Oven a secure stand and a thermometer hole makes it possible to check the temperature without having to lift the lid. If you want to lift the hot lid, this is particularly easy with the Petromax lid lifter. Another highlight is that the lid can also be used upside down as a pan. The Petromax Dutch Oven is available in several sizes so that the right pot can be selected for the respective recipe or number of people. All Dutch Oven sizes are available with feet or with a flat base. In the medium-sized ft6 version with feet, the Dutch Oven has a capacity of approx. 6.1 liters. It can be used to prepare meals for 4 to 8 people. In addition to the lid lifter, other accessories are available for the Petromax Dutch Oven, such as the transport and storage bag, the care paste and the ring cleaner for cleaning cast iron. We also offer trivets and inserts made of cast iron grids, which enable cooking and baking without burning.
