Awl Jackob

Made of stainless steel, the awl is the direct predecessor of the fork and belongs at every medieval table. It was used to spear food and bring it to the mouth. The handle is twisted and sits comfortably in the hand. The handle is blackened, giving the awl a wrought-iron look.
