These glasses are based on an original from the 15th century and will add even more authenticity to your portrayal.
It is a replica of a 15th century painting - a panel painting in San Gilarmo, Spain - exhibited in the Museo Nazionale die Arte della Catalogna in Barcelona.
The frame is designed in such a way that the glasses can be closed and opened to fit the nose perfectly. The glasses are simply folded up for storage.
If you wish, the glasses can even be fitted with lenses by an optician using the existing frames!
Historically, glasses were not fastened behind the ears with temples in the Middle Ages. They were attached to the head using straps (not included) that could be threaded through the holes provided.
